Life is like a box of hair color , you never know what you're gonna get....

One of the big money makers in any salon is color correction. Whether its an at home color gone wrong or another stylists error, hair color mistakes make even the strongest women question all their choices! We've had several over the years that have really made us break out the color wheel and put all of our skills to the test. In one recent case a client had gone into a salon with waist length hair all ready to have her ends lightened. Due to a error , whether it was too high of a developer or the stylist let it sit too long , this clients waist length hair was now shoulder length ....and this was before the hair cut. As a stylist I hate to see the trust broken between a client and stylist due to these bad experiences , I don't blame them but its still a shame. After several consultations we matched her natural color and gave her a much needed trim and set her up with several deep conditioning appointments so her hair will be healthy enough for extensions. Another distraught lady came in having attempted to lighten her own hair she had created a lovely shade of pumpkin orange. So after more lightning and toning we finally got her to a wearable blonde. And set up another few sessions to get her where she wanted to be. The reason in telling these stories is to make it clear that you should always trust a professional with your hair. Also its good idea to understand that some corrections cannot happen all in one session, and there is no such thing as a cheap color correction either. Be willing to spend anywhere from $100-$300 dollars and several hours in the chair. All in all its best to just go and support your local stylist in the first place when you're thinking of changing your hair. It'll save you time and heartache!
